It's batch number two of The Gauldrons Sherry Edition from Douglas Laing. Made from a blend of Campbeltown malts and finished in sherry casks, the soft smoke of the whisky has been joined by dried fruits and warming spice.
Nose Spiced, baked apples, with dark caramel, and some cinder toffee.
Palate Raisins and dried currants, with wafts of smoke, and warming spices.
Finish Lingering smoke, with some creamy caramel.
