Longrow CV
Nose: Smoke, cut fennel, spearmint, grass. Peat, touch of the coast.
Palate: Spicy, peaty, hints of lemon zest, cutting lime, toffee, lots of oily smoke.
Finish: Long, peaty, spicy oak driven finish.
Springbank CV
Nose: Toffee sweetness, lots of dried fruit. Plenty of smoke, nutty, marzipan, dried citrus. Coastal as always. Perhaps the faintest hint of sulphur, not unpleasant though.
Palate: Big and full on the palate. Dark sugar, very fruity and spicy, lots of coastal character too, as a surge of smoke develops, good body.
Finish: The oak develops with spicy intent, long and smoky.
Hazelburn CV
Nose: Lots of fruit and hay. Orchard fruits, blossom, some youthful sweetness. Gentle and balanced.
Palate: Good body, creamy and good sweetness. Plenty of decent barley malt, thick and fruity, with some hints of spice.
Finish: Crisp, fruity, reasonable length with a little tingle of spice on the tail.
