Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Chocolate fudge with touches of jam or raspberry ripple, a little pepper and minerality, wonderfully round.

Palate: Rounded and chocolatey continues to be a theme, with measured fruit, caramel, treacle and tobacco too. Very complex.

Finish: Tiramisu and Mississippi mud pie (which is a delicious dessert, nothing 'muddy' going on here!)

Blended Whisky #1 35 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company) Reviews

A pity it is sold out

Bought 4 bottles of this. Shared one with my brother and the other 3 in store. Try a dram of this while nibbling on a square of Lindt dark chocolate, just amazing. On its own is very well balanced and rich. Love it.

Very well made

Lot of liquid caramel (really!), rum like, fruit cake. Then a touch of ginger followed by leather. Mouth fades a bit to fast sadly. Not to punchy also but the taste is there for sure. Final is really the best part with a bit of oak and spices, agrum, and a incredibly fresh and long mint liquor feeling.
Not my kind but the quality is there for a modest price.

An amazing whisky. I only had the sample in my advent calendar this year and by far, hands down is the best one that I've had. I will definitely be purchasing a bottle. It totally blew me away on how smooth this is👍🏻

@I hope the whisky is good

The decision not to use outer packaging on the TBWC range was a tricky one, but our justification is simple - it adds a significant amount (anywhere from a few pounds up) to the retail price, and our view is very much that we'd rather provide the liquid, modestly-packaged* at the best possible price to the consumer. We appreciate that this won't suit everyone, but on balance that's the decision we arrived at. That said - we'll have a look into getting some outer packaging in due course, and can maybe provide it as an additional option?

I hope the whisky is good

Not tasted yet but I must say that for£120 for 50cl it would have been quite nice for the bottle to have a tube or box. I will be unable to place toward the front of my collection as to avoid uv rays, it's a shame really as the label designs are fun. Doubt I will bother purchasing TBWC again.

Day 1 it was reserved, on the nose I smelled fresh grilled pancakes with vanilla. Day 3 it went bonkers. On the nose it had a huge note of rubbery tobacco. On the palate the rubbery quality was overwhelming, water did temper that thankfully. For me this needs a bit of water to calm it down. Unfortunately the rubbery quality is not appetizing.

Thank you MoM for re-stocking this so much! I have been wanting a bottle after trying your sample.

Besides the usual tasting notes from a hyper-aged PX sherry Scotch, these notes made this stand out: Demera rum(El Dorado 25 1986 comes to mind), sweet juicy PX notes similar to a vintage Toro Albala Don PX & freshly baked bitter-dark chocolate souffle with caramel drizzle. This had a gravitational force that just pulled me back taste after taste.

If you'd given this to me and told me it was a 30yo Macallan, I'd have believed you. The spirit's influence is simply massive, and there's no doubt at all in my mind that this is one of the most accompllished blends ever made.

Only if

Only if you guys made other bottles under Boutique-y to meet standards such as this one. Whiskyfun rated this a 91, I personally think it rates slightly higher on my own scale. Good job guys.
