A rare 10 year old from the Eastern Highland distillery, Teaninich. The Flora and Fauna series are becoming increasingly rare.
The nose is quite frgrant with fruit and a greenness. Notes of cut hay and chamomile, hints of wood resins and potpourri with a little winter spice and a gentle citric acidity. The palate is of medium-body with a pleasant dryness. There are notes of barley sugars and cereal notes. There are some oily herbal notes with more of that citric acidity developing with a hint of espresso. The finish is quite dry and of medium-length with its gentle cut grasses.

Personally I used to love it. But cannot seem to get it now

Reminds me of summer hay fields wet with a morning dew. Nice and mild.

Very enjoyable this one, my favourite of the Flora and Fauna range so far. This is easy to drink, with a decent finish. It's a bit pricy for a 10YO so that is reflected in the rating. It's subtle in flavour but fairly complex - I do fancy another bottle.

Underrated to say the least.

I came to this whisky through Compass Box’s Great King Street. Apparently genius blender John Glaser is fond of using this in some of his Compass Box masterpieces. I was not disappointed. If you are fond of lighter, but ever so subtly sophisticated unpeated scotch, go no further. A thing of beauty.

I have for many years been a piper for Clan Munro USA. I have visted Munro country many times and this is one of my very favorites! Seriously damn good stuff. STEVE ROHE

Teaninich can be very good. This is a good everyday dram, but nothing special.

What a superb malt this is! Largely ignored and unmarketed it is a pearl! A subtle floral nose of citrus, vanilla and barley is followed by a wonderful taste of soft malt and a glorious spicy crescendo. Once again it proves if you want a distillery's true taste then the Flora and Fauna expressions are the ones to choose rather than the obtuse 'finished' versions.
