This is a twenty-one year old sherry cask bottling of Tamdhu selected for Douglas Laing's Old & Rare range. Tamdhu is one of the principal ingredients in the Famous Grouse blend. Tamdhu has been mothballed for a few years however production is thought to recommence sometime in 2012.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Rich dark chocolate sauce with berry compote followed by a hint of spent sparkler.

Palate: This is a sherry-bomb in the palate with lots of dense dried fruits, chocolate and spice fighting for supremacy.

Finish: The finish is long, and peppered with fruit and nut flavours.

Overall: This is a real dram for sherry cask lovers, big dried fruit and chocolate notes bursting out of the glass at every opportunity.
