A Gordon and MacPhail bottling from the Tamdhu distillery, this was distilled in 1966 and bottled in 2006.
The nose is quite light and crisp. There are notes of cut hay and stemmy grass with gentle wood smoke and toffeeyed sweetness, a hint of barley sugar with a supple, quiet peat. The palate is quite full and rich. There are notes of sweet, crisp cereals and salty melted butter, dark sugar and sherried peels and chewy sultanas. The finish is long and smoky with wood resins.
