Nose: Lightly oaked, with a hint of caramel underneath the waves of coastal air.

Palate: Big, bold and quite oily. Black tea and white pepper.

Finish: Salted crackers and some floral malt.

Talisker 6 Year Old 2010 - Hepburn's Choice (Langside) Reviews

Underwhelming

This goes to show that independent bottlings are not always the best. Whilst the whisky itself is of decent enough quality, and I must commend them for an age statement and natural presentation, the whisky itself doesn't make a statement to justify the price point. Just an honest rant. The whisky lacks depth and character, a bit one dimensional and rough around the edges even compared to some cask strength malts. Sorry but would not recommend this.
