Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is fresh with coastal notes and gentle barley sweetness. There are notes of chewy earthen peat with sea weed and fudge. A development of fruit builds with various conserves, chewy plums and damsons, Bramley apples and calvados and a vinous character. The palate is quite smooth and of good body. There is a little barley sweetness with lemons and limes and orange zest, hints of oaked pepper with a coastal edge. The peat is supple with herbal notes and cut fennel. There are some exotic fruit notes. The finish is of reasonable length and very smooth.

Talisker 175th Anniversary Reviews

Pablo Maltman

Rich, very smooth. Light on the peppery finish for a Talisker. Definately worth seeking out as it is now discontinued and has some older whisky in the mix!

Very good Talisker

A little softer and more complex that the standard. If you like the 10 and the 18y, you'll also love this.
