Strathisla 1948 Bottling Note

The Strathisla distillery craft a rich, sherried single malt, and this is no exception. Distilled in 1948 and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is quite fresh and soft. There are aromatic notes of dried grass, lemon peels, rubbed eucalypt leaves and little oaked tannins with herbal sweetness. The palate is full and rich with fruit. Citrus notes, zest, tropical fruit salad with winter spice and grist, a hint of dark chocolate and notes of oak. The finish is of medium-length with oak.
