Chapter 14 of English Whisky is a 5 year old unpeated single malt, distilled by St George's Distillery in Norfolk. Using whisky from four consecutive bourbon barrels (582 - 585), this limited edition, proudly English whisky is rather nice indeed.
Nose: Fresh, flaky pastries, subtle oranges and dried fruits.
Palate: Crispy burnt sugar from the top of a crème brulee and soft fruits.
Finish: A long finish.
Overall: Fresh, fruity and light. An easy drinking whisky.

Excellent balance and flavor throughout. Superb finish.

My parents gave me a bottle of this for Christmas last year, and I've enjoyed every drop. Must admit, I wasn't sure what to expect, but my initial disappointment at a change from the formerly traditional Glenrothes soon evaporated. Sweet and spicy, and a warm, tingly after-taste. Am drinking the last of the bottle, will most likely buy another one before too long.

I sampled 7 or so of the English Whisky Co. Whisky's at a local specialist shop, this one was my favourite and bought a bottle right away.
