This is an incredibly rare and impressive Springbank from our Lost Bottlings Series, which scored 95 points from Jim Murray in his 2014 Whisky Bible. The range represents the very rarest in whiskies, bottled many years ago. In the case of this one, it was distilled in 1965, aged for 30 years and bottled in October 1995. A stunning malt from a bygone era.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Oily, smoky nose with hints of soft sherry and a touch of dry red wine. Blackcurrant, cooked plums and allspice.

Palate: Rich, very intense palate entry with cinnamon and cloves to the fore. Quite coastal, with sweet plumes of smoke and cooked fruit.

Finish: Dark chocolate and banana chips on the finish. Long and peaty.

Overall: A beautiful whisky - muscular and intense.
