Distilled in 1991 at the Springbank distillery, this was aged in a refill sherry cask for 19 years before bottling at the Bruichladdich distillery in 2011. A release of 559 bottles at natural cask strength from Murray McDavid's Mission range.
Nose: Sweet, hints of salty butter, ginger, lemon zest, kippers, a little vanilla ice cream and pebbles on a beach.
Palate: Gingerbread, fruit, orange zest, lemon oil, cured meats, pepper and butterscotch.
Finish: Long, warming and rich with ginger and sweet citrus.
