Speyside 6yo 2015

Single malt from The Speyside Distillery, matured for six years in a single cask. Distilled in September 2015, the whisky made its way to us right here at Master of Malt while still in cask form, and we converted it into bottle form in 2022! A release of 314 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Delightfully delicate with understated meadow blossom, freshly baked bread, and crushed butter biscuits. Sweet lime and tropical melon follow, with creamy, yoghurty hints of mango lassi.

Palate Zingy notes of sweet and creamy gooseberry fool, rusk biscuits, and pink grapefruit with sprinklings of brown sugar.

Finish Peaches and light stone fruits finish things up, with a touch of toasted oak, buttery malt, and fresh orchard fruits. Warm spices gather in the distance.

Reviews for Speyside 6 Year Old 2015 Single Cask (Master of Malt)
Gobsmacked
Took a punt (just £20, so easily done) and expected nothing due to colour and price. Absolutely gobsmacked by the quality, Make more... it's sold out!

Great!
Bought as a gift for my husband, he loves it. Only negative is that it is sold out and I can't purchase a few more bottles for him lol

Light, delicate and delicious!
For £19.95 incl p&p, I really didn't expect (but certainly hoped!) for much... but, what an amazing surprise. The nose is beautifully delicate, in the mouth it's gorgeous - you have to work hard to get the flavours, but it's more than worth it... nothing over-complicated (which makes a change!), just a truly delightful, light and lovely single malt - 11/10 to MoM for putting it out, I came back for second bottle... too late! ☹️ I hope all the other 313 purchasers like it as much as I do! Hurry up with the next one please MoM!!!!!!! 😉

Delicate and easy drinking
A very pleasant surprise - a delicate and easy drinking dram which is perfect for a summer's evening.

Summertime and the living is easy.
I've given it 4 stars because it's 20 quid. It's an odd, but moreish flavour a bit like drinking vodka whilst chewing a fruit salad sweet. It's different but I really like it. Ardbeg/ Glen Scotia it isn't, a refreshing, summertime malt it certainly is. This would be beautiful out of the fridge on a hot summers evening when everyone else is drinking gin. 🙂👍👍
