A beautiful whisky, which tastes exactly as the name suggests! This is a single cask Islay malt, distilled in 1996, and aged in a hogshead before bottling for the Wemyss Malts range in 2011. A release of 238 bottles.
Nose: Copper, salty butter, vanilla, phenols, soft wood smoke, wet pebbles and toffee apple.
Palate: Warming and spiced, thick wood smoke, linseed oil, sticking plasters and chilli, with a thick core of vanilla and citrus.
Finish: Long smoky finish with chipotle and honey on the tail.
