Glenrothes distilled in 1998 and initially aged in bourbon barrels before a finish in Sauternes casks from the premier cru winery Château d'Yquem. This was bottled in 2009 at the Bruichladdich distillery. A release of 1,700 bottles.
Nose: Fruity, apricots, prunes, cereal sweetness, toffee.
Palate: Oak spices, maple syrup, raisins, cocoa, nutty.
Finish: Fruit salad, nuts and tannic wood.
