Very unusual to find a peated Arran, this was distilled on the 12th December 2005 and aged in a bourbon cask. Oddly, they bottled it on the 7th December 2009 - just 5 days away from this whisky's 4th birthday! This was aged in cask number 116, and each of the 252 is individually numbered and at cask strength.

So sorry to see that this has been discontinued. This is so good that it should be in TWO categories - Scotch AND Bourbon. I enjoyed very much telling people that the best bourbon I have is a scotch. I have only a very few ounces left and now that the whisky is discontinued, they are very precious to me. I measure them out at 1/4 oz tastes. This scotch whiskey is better than Pappy Van Winkle, supposedly the best bourbon in America.
