Nose: Demerara sugar leading to tangerine zest and powerful spices including cardamom, clove and vanilla.
Palate: The rye is fantastically dominant on the palate with notes of orange oils with pine resin and a big herbaceous quality. It's like chewing on a satsuma in a Norwegian forest!
Finish: The orange flavours are still present but give way to black pepper and vanilla.
Overall: This is a classic rye whiskey with good length on the finish, very nice indeed.
