A straight American bourbon whiskey from the Redemption range, featuring a rather high rye content and aged over 3 years. Take a look at the mash bill proudly displayed on the bottle and you'll see the very specific listings of "38.2% premium rye, 1.8% barley malt, 60% corn." It's a spicy little number, that's for sure.

Tasted a lot of Bourbons and Rye's but this one is something special - one of my favorits! Greate price/quality ratio too!

The other reviewer has a right to their opinion but I fail to see how anything other than dogs water deserves 1 star. That single star underlines their bias and therefore junk the review. How is this a designer label? Trendy modern Bruichladdich this ain't. Excellent spirit, a great all round Bourbon and Well worth trying if you like your American. Having just come back from Islay (and been to every distillery inc Jura) I can't understand how this tastes like a scotch let alone an Islay.

I was invited (persuaded) to try Redemption by The Whisk(e)y Exchange. I should have followed my first rule of booze buying: if the product has a designer bottle and/or a designer label, give it a wide berth! If you favour the Islay malts this could be one for you; if not, save your money.
