Redbreast 15 Year Old Bottling Note

A beautiful pure pot still whiskey (or "single pot still" as it's now officially known). Redbreast 15 is a rich, thick, sweet, pungent whiskey with loads of flavour and complexity - really good stuff!

Redbreast 15 Year Old Reviews

You'll need to go to confession after this

You're getting into whiskey porn here, just look at it ! unscrew the cap and smell ....I understand if you need to lay down at this point.

There's no beating this

Simply the finest whisky in the world.

Amazingly smooth, lots of caramel, and glides down the throat like no other whisky you'll ever try.

Wow - not a patch on the 12yo

With Redbreast 12yo being my current #1 Whiskey, I was looking forward to trying the 15yo. It wasn't in stock anywhere (at a reasonable price) in Oz, so I got a mate to pick it up from the US and get it home in time for Paddy's Day.
Well, what a disappointment. Too sweet, very harsh (I've had smoother $70 bottles) and I just didn't like.the flavours.
I thought it must just be me, but I've given it a go several times now and it's not even standing up against a standard Jamieson I casked for a couple months (5L cask).
Not a patch on the 12yo or Lustau edition, I won't be trying the 21yo or 27yo...

Honey bliss

For me, it's the smoothest most refined pot still in Ireland, a true classic. Pricey, but goes down like honey. A sippers delight.

Good stuff

Awesome. Love It!

Redbreast 15 is my go to whiskey. Absolutely delicious!

I refuse to daily drink any other whisky now. A must have!!!

Good buy.

I have nearly finished my Redbreast 15 years old and it is excellent. Very morish taste and no bad after effects. Wake up with a clear head.

Too Harsh and Woody for Me

This is most assuredly a quality whiskey for the price, however it was a bit too harsh and woody for me (I’m no expert at all by the way). Had to splash some H2O in just to take the edge off. Much prefer the 12 year which is absolutely sublime! Got the Lustau arriving tomorrow so we’ll see who comes out on top!

Simply amazing

I bought Redbreast 15 as my first foray into Irish whiskies, and I was absolutely floored. Holy cow, this is the best whiskey, from any country, that I have ever tasted. Very complex, without tiring the palate. I tasted delicious vanilla, custard and the lightest hint of wood.

Don’t bother with Yamazaki 12, pick up two bottles of this instead.

It’s expensive, but I refuse to daily drink any other whisky now. Simply sublime.

Glorious, simply glorious.

Nose: Apple crumble, but not the garbage we typically make. This is Michelin.

Palate: Sweet vanilla sponge cake...hints of ginger.

After: The spice drops gently back in, some wooded sherry adding it steps to the journey.
