Pride Of Islay 12 Bottling Note

A 12 year old blended malt whisky from Islay. This was bottled under Gordon and MacPhail's vatted malt range 'Pride of Islay'. It exhibits what the producers describe as "classic Islay aromas and flavours".

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is quite smoky and of medium-body, there are notes of toasty oak and dried fruits and peels, there are hints of stone fruit and a little smoke, just a hint of peat. The palate is of good body with a decent balance, there are notes of salty butter and toasty oak, a touch of iodine and a little smoke. The finish is long with notes of smoke and nut oil.
