This is a staggeringly rich, intense single cask grain whisky from the Directors Cut range. It was distilled at Port Dundas in January 1982 before a 30 year maturation in a single hogshead. It was bottled at natural cask strength in November 2012 and there are just 130 bottles available.
Nose: Sweet, buttery aromas with hints of manuka honey, cooked fruit and porridge oats.
Palate: Bourbon-like palate with notes of sweet vanilla, salt butter, tropical fruit and dried apricots.
Finish: Fruity finish. Slightly abrupt.
Overall: Beautifully fruity - short but sweet!
