Port Dundas 1978 (cask 12470) - Xtra Old Particular Platinum (Douglas Laing)

Port Dundas 78 XOP #12470 Bottling Note

Douglas Laing's celebration of its 70th anniversary continues with another addition to The Xtra Old Particular Platinum series! This single grain Scotch whisky from Port Dundas was distilled in 1978 and bottled at natural cask strength (59.1%), without any additional colouring or chill-filtration. Just 168 bottles were drawn from the single cask (12470).

The new edition comes stylishly presented in a moleskin-hinged box with a label and accompanying certificate signed by father-daughter duo Fred and Cara Laing from the Laing founding family itself!

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose: Rich and sweet with gingerbread, molasses, cereal and sugar.

Palate: Chewy and full of dark fruit, warming spices and treacle toffee.

Finish: Now more softly – yet still dulcet – spiced plus home baking.
