This is a delicious Oloroso-matured Welsh single malt from the Penderyn distillery. It was aged in a single cask - cask 546 - which was specially selected by the master distiller, Gillian MacDonald. Each box is made in South Wales by Giancarlo Bianchi - a fine furniture maker.
Nose: Sticky toffee pudding, dates and hints of allspice. A little citrus peel, walnut and a touch of treacle.
Palate: Black treacle, allspice, dried peels, tropical fruit and hints of vanilla and digestive biscuits.
Finish: Mixed peels and a little cocoa on the tail. Intense.
