Penderyn Madeira Finish 1l Reviews

Excellent surprise

I was very surprised to find such a good whisky. The nose was very smooth and it was followed by a wonderful flavour set.
Would highly recommend

Pleasant surprise

Waitrose had it on special recently so gave it a try. My initial impression was neutral. But after a few days I started to realise it tasted different to anything I had tried before. I love it!

Right up there

I love whisky. My absolute favourite is old Glenfarclas, but this Welsh one surprised me. It ranks way ahead of many of the more common single malts and for me right up there with Bowmore or some of the better Speyside malts

Oh dear!

An aftertaste reminiscent of a 6 month aged Raki. Over sweet and disappointing for malt at this price point. Looking at other reviews of Penderyn Malts, I wonder if there is a flaw in their quality control - I really cannot believe that fellow enthusiasts would give such glowing reviews of the rubbish in my bottle.

William Semple

I have a broad taste in whiskies and had high hopes for Penderyn. But sadly it disappoints. Perhaps when is left to mature to a 12 year old it might be worth a second chance. Till then my current bottle is just decoration on the shelf. Non of my whisky drinking friends (even the Welsh ones!) have taken to it.....sorry Penderyn, better luck next time.

Penderyn whiskey

There isn't a whisky on the market to compare it to its unique it's special in taste and texture I wouldn't drink anything else I have been drink it since it first came on the market and haven't stopped drinking it since after all. These years of drinking what I would now call inferior whiskys thanks to penderyn I have now found what I would call welsh gold

Penderyn whisks

There isn't a whiskey on the market to compare it with I have drunk wkisky for years all types malts bourbons but there is nothing has good in taste and texture I would give this whiskey a 200 percent rating the only problem is it doesn't last long enough once you start drinking it
