Parker's 27 Year Old Bottling Note

One of the most astonishing bourbons you'll ever try. This was made in memory of Parker Beam - a member of the Beam family who had been in the industry for over 50 years. John Hansell even went so far as to award this stunning 27 year old bourbon 95 points!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Balanced and very, very deep. In fact, it's a canyon of huge spice, molasses, butterstcoh and candy floss. And then it opens up and all sorts of dried fruit notes develop, then golden syrup, mulled wine spices, herbal notes, and then a crescendo of calves' leather and vanilla cream.

Palate: Mouth filling, it simply takes hold of you with wave after wave of engulfing spice oak, with the sort of tangy, puckering tannins that you'd expect from a bourbon of this age - yet somehow the oak never out steps its bounds. It builds and builds though, on the chewy, spicy, smoky oak notes.

Finish: Great length, one of the longest finishes in bourbon in fact! The oak builds as on the palate, and it holds you in its muscular clutches for minutes and minutes.

Overall: Incredible.

Parker's 27 Year Old Heritage Collection Reviews

Truly Exquisite Bourbon

I tried the Parker's alongside Pappy Van Winkle 15 & 20, and William Larue Weller. To be honest, I did not know what to expect as the oldest bourbon I had tried previously was the Pappy 20. I was a little diffident about how Parker's might hold up to these other titans and yet simultaneously I had high expectations as it costs a pretty penny. I was not disappointed in the least. Parker's can stand up to any bourbon on the market and certainly deserves consideration as the finest American whiskey. I plan on comparing it with the George T. Stagg this weekend. The bourbon itself is vast, broad and deep, supple, rich and opulent. A baroque grandeur of flavors and body. Exquisitely done. Thank you Parker Beam and Heaven Hill.
