Paddy Irish Whiskey Bottling Note

A triple distilled blended Irish Whiskey produced in Cork and made, unusually, with all three styles of Irish whiskey: single pot still, single malt and grain. First produced in 1779, it wasn't until 1913 that it changed it's name to Paddy after legendary salesman Paddy Flaherty. Before that it had the rather catchy name of "Cork Distilling Company Map of Ireland Old Irish Whiskey". Rolls right off the tongue that one.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: The nose is oily and fresh with floral notes, cereal grains and plenty of fruit.

Palate: The palate is sweet and of medium-body with toffee and cereals, a rosewater note with a little butterscotch and vanilla.

Finish: The finish is spicy and dry with a little black pepper and oak.

Paddy Irish Whiskey Reviews

Ignore the no-nothing wannabe whiskey snobs.

This is a good, no, really good blended whiskey. Ignore those who want to try to give it the big one with their half-star reviews - in a blind taste, I’m sure they’d struggle to tell the difference between this and a Lost Distillery’s 11. Smooth sweet palate with a spicy, peppery finish. This is a lot of whiskey for your £.

Stands the test of time

My uncle introduced me to Paddys 30 years ago saying it was the woodbine of Irish Whiskey. I still like it today and he still drinks it in his late 80's...enough said.

Excellent value for money.

I hadn't tried Paddy's since I left England in the 80's. It was very popular then. I saw it in Dan Murphy's in Gosford and was about $39. I thought i'd have a go at it and it was surprisingly good. Not much length on the finish but smooth and no burn.

I would definately buy again as a quaffer. A less harsh hangover than Talisker if you over indulge.

Very Nice!

I found Paddy's very easy to drink. It may lack some of the nuances and sophistication of much more expensive whiskey, but very pleasant and enjoyable especially for the price! A very good product in my humble opinion.

Excellent and I would recommend it to anyone.

Paddy is a very easy drinking everyday Whiskey. I love high Rye Whiskey but if I am not drinking Rye I drink Paddy. I have a bottle at my house all the time. One of my favorite whiskeys. A smooth easy Whiskey to drink with friends or sitting by the fire. Great value for the price.

Very good and affordable whiskey

Taught us to drink it in Ireland, fell in love with it as a good everyday drink. The daughter has lived in Ireland for 20 years so for us there have been many distilleries we have been and tried different whiskeys there for several years. Then many different whiskeys we have tried over the years Not bought Paddy in a long time as Tullamore and Bushmills are number 1. we think. Cheers and thanks to us Lilian and Willy

Easiest drink sweet and floral

I was worried this was going to be cheap and therefore poor. But it's a nice light sweet drink with a wood aftertaste. This is now my go to bottle.
