Overeem - Batch 1 Bottling Note

This right here is the very first Tasmanian single malt whisky bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! The label of That Boutique-y Whisky Company's Overeem Batch 1 features Old Hobart's founder Casey Overeem and Brand Ambassador Jane Overeem getting more of their superb Tasmanian whisky ready for all to enjoy. If you thought your garage was the bee's knees after you set up that workbench, tool rack and dartboard, Casey might have you beat - his garage is his critically acclaimed distillery!

Batch 1 is a release of just 50 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, blended malts, blends and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Vanilla pod, fig, elderflower and greengages - all very fresh. Touches of milky coffee and nostalgic whispers of pencil shavings develop. Something subtly meaty to it too, with hints of five-spice powder.

Palate: Marvellously creamy, velvet-y mouthfeel, with lots white fruit up front. This is backed up by more exotic spices, hints of anise and toasted barley.

Finish: Ripe plum and cooling vanilla finish it off.

Overall: A terrific Tasmanian whisky - it's easy to see why everyone is talking about it nowadays.
