Orkney 13 Year Old 2004 (Single Cask Nation)

Orkney 13yo Nation Bottling Note

This 13 year old single malt is the result of a delicious collaboration between Single Cask Nation and the team from the Hello From The Magic Tavern podcast. Stones of Stenness was produced at an undisclosed Orkney distillery in 2004, and was then matured in a second-fill Pedro Ximenez sherry hogshead. The Stones of Stenness is considered one of the oldest stone circles in the British Isles. The label also sees some pretty funky goings on - is that a badger at a dinner party? A bowl of rainbows? Looks like our kind of fun.

This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Nose: The decadent combination of raspberry and dark chocolate, with dried fruit, treacle, fresh plums and stewed pears.

Palate: Oily, prominent sherry influence with buckets of fruit such as dates and currants, with rich fudge, nutmeg and cinnamon spice.

Finish: Jammy berries and a pinch of tobacco.
