Old Fitzgerald 12 70cl
A well aged bourbon, Old Fitzgerald 12 is a very complex, rich whiskey from Heaven Hill. Jim Murray awarded this a staggering 93.5 points!
Nose: Corn-on-the-cob with salted butter, thick vanilla, oak and hints of banana.
Palate: Chewy toffee, vanilla, caramel and more corn. A little bit of coffee later on.
Finish: Quite long, with lasting vanilla toffee notes.
Tried the 3cl Sample
Can only agree wholeheartedly
YOU CAN NOT RATE A WHISKEY WITH A 3CL SAMPLE
This was a fab experience.Yes you do need to try a whole bottle (possibly not all at once...but each to his/her own) before deciding whether you like it. This one reminded me of Christmas for some reason. At this price an absolute bargain...just don't tell anyone );-}

With a small nip you taste the whiskey and form an idea of what you are tasting which really should be kept to yourself.
Jumping online and "rating" a whiskey after such a trivial experience is trully absurd.
Buy a bottle, spend some time with it, then you have something worth saying.
BTW - GREAT whiskey, a lot going on for a great price, worth a shot if your looking for something with a fair slathering of complexity

A great taste, perfect for a night when everything else in my cabinet was unsuitable.
