North British - Batch 2 Bottling Note

Yummy single grain Scotch whisky from the North British distillery, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. Their second batch of North British whisky, this is. Just like the first batch, it features a label showcasing a rather malevolent-seeming chap behind a hardwood desk, stroking a cat. He looks like he might be the head of a huge, potentially evil organisation, though the cat seems nonchalant and cats are always good judges of character. And anyway, there's probably no link between between the label and the whisky. We think.

Batch 2 is a release of 75 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, bourbons, blended malts and blends from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Candied peels, both orange and lemon. Continues with pecan pie, almonds, caramel and a hint of pine resin.

Palate: Light treacle, green banana and a very subtle nod towards some exotic spices. Big, juicy clementine segments burst out on the mid palate.

Finish: Medium length with orange and Greek yoghurt lasting.

Overall: A villainously tasty piece of single grain goodness from North British.
