Nose: Interesting and complex. Big on the malt notes, hints of orange peels and nectarine, marshmallow and exotic spices. Cedar develops.

Palate: Cocoa, caramel lattes, malt, lychees, blackcurrants, manuka honey, granary toast with melted butter.

Finish: Juicy fruits, citrus, lemon zest and toffee apples.

Nikka 8 Year Old Black Reviews

Beatiful but check the price:)

Absolutely amazing whisky, with notes of Woodford Reserve and some oily orangy malts (yes, very Obanish) in the nose, than a beatiful mouthfeel with stone fruits, stewed apricots and a vegetal, very Caol Ila like finish. But the price in here is outta this world. I had it in Poland for 100 zloties (ca. 20 quid).

Lovely but not 70 pounds worth

Reminded me a little of a more subtle version of Black Bush, but in japan this is about 15 pound
