A special whisky from Mortlach, made up of spirit distilled in 1959 and 1960 to mark the royal wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
Nose: Plain chocolate, roasted coffee beans and Christmas cake.
Palate: The palate opens into a spectrum of spice, mulled wine and fruit cake before lower notes of coffee and nuts arrive.
Finish: Espresso and dark chocolate form a long finish.
Overall: This is a heavily sherried Mortlach with lots of dried fruit and chocolate - lovely stuff.
