Kirkwall Bay Bottling Note

The theme of mystery single malts from different regions of Scotland continues for

Morrison & Mackay with Kirkwall Bay - a single malt from an undisclosed distillery on Orkney! Previous releases in this series include Riverflow and The Big Strand.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Clean citrus and orange blossom, with a light hint of biscotti and a wisp of smoke.

Palate: Orchard fruit sweetness continues, with malty vanilla and toasted almond.

Finish: Mocha, basil and stem ginger.

Hopefully it’ll mature.

If you can’t find another whisky and you really fancied one, you may still be disappointed.

Young and promising.

Drinks by the dram calendar nr 10:20 18. Nose - unsmoked peat and barley and some hint of Phenol. Makes me think of Arran and Ardbeg. Taste: Somewhat pepperish with a neat fudgeon the side.
