Mosstowie is the named used for Miltonduff single malt distilled in their Lomond stills - a short-lived endeavour for the Speyside-based distillers. Rather rare and interesting stuff. As luck would have it, we have some of it right here! This Mosstowie was aged in a bourbon barrel for 37 years, until Signatory bottled it up for their Cask Strength Collection. 99 bottles were produced.
Nose: Robust and slightly oily malt, soft orange and a hint of furniture polish.
Palate: Sharp fruit, oatmeal, poached pear and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
Finish: More zesty fruit notes - think mango and pineapple.
