This was distilled at the Miltonduff distillery in November 1990. It was then aged for 21 years in a single refill hogshead (number 8261) before bottling for Douglas Laing's Old Malt cask range in March 2012. There are just 310 bottles available, at the "preferred drinking strength" of 50%abv.
Nose: Hints of spice and barley. Very rich with notes of honey and a little heather. Fruity.
Palate: Dark brown sugar, toffee apples and rich spice. An oily mouth-feel with a good barley note.
Finish: Long finish with more of those brown sugar notes. Barley wine.
