Tel Aviv's Milk & Honey Distillery has released its very first single malt! Called the Classic expression, it was matured in bourbon and virgin oak casks as well as red wine-seasoned STR (shaved, toasted and recharred) casks. There's a wonderful balance of hallmark honey notes alongside malt sweetness and rich chocolate. We can't wait to see what else is to come from the team in Israel!
Ripe peach, dried fruit and well-baked flapjack, with waxy honey and floral oak.
Vanilla and honey sweetness leads into lemon curd and sweet porridge, with a dusting of bitter cocoa bringing balance.
Peppery oak lingers alongside barrel char and a balance of more honey and bitter dark chocolate.
$32.63 - $84.28
A thing of beauty, leaves you wanting more. I am delighted with my purchase. It was recommended to me and I will happily pass the recommendation on to others. You must try it.
Powerful nose, and decent taste, but subtle as a brick. I really like that, though, so I happy to leave a good review. Could do with some more ageing, though
Subtlety Smokey with a really lovely fruity finish.
It's a tasty and enjoyable change from traditional scotch, and very easy to drink. there's just enough in there to make you know it's not made in the highlands, and like other foreign whiskie's matured in a warm climate it doesn't need too many years to bring it upto speed (i'm thinking brands like kavalan or amrut where most of it would be lost to the angels if it was kept for a long time lol), although it's obviously a different taste profile to those two. overall a good effort and i'm sure my whisky drinking buddies will enjoy a taste too.
Received this in my whisky advent calendar. Loved it, so brought a bottle.
