Nose: Toasty notes of frangipane, robust malt, and candied almonds lead to sweeter notes of plump summer berries. Old oak furniture rests in the depths with drizzles of gloopy honey and a pinch of green pepper, before earthen vanilla fights to the front.
Palate: An incredibly soft opening with delicately charred apricot and orange blossom. Freshly baked madeleines arrive, drizzled with golden syrup alongside unctuous layers of nutty barley.
Finish: Just the gentlest touch of distant smoke, and a seasoning of prickling pepper, surrounded by dense, sweet maple syrup and roasted coffee.
