Lawrenceburg 2007 #16043 Bottling Note

An interesting indie bottling from Malts of Scotland - an light whiskey distilled in Indiana, drawn from a single cask which was laid down in 2007 and cracked open in 2016. For those unfamiliar, in America the term "light whiskey" refers to a whiskey that was distilled to 160 proof (80% ABV) or over before being left to age in oak casks, hence why this whiskey has been bottled at a hefty 63.8% ABV. Only 224 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Apricot, toffee and just a good kick of cardamom spiciness.

Palate: Cooking spices sizzle at the core of this one, with cinnamon and black pepper developing. Sweeter hints of dark chocolate and sugarcane appear with a drop of water.

Finish: Carrot cake, cinnamon again, butterscotch and lime peel.
