Maker's Cask Strength Bottling Note

Behold, it's Maker's Mark, but bottled at cask strength! If you're a big fan of the classic bourbon (made with a mash bill featuring red winter wheat instead of rye), and you're also a fan of whiskies with a big flavour profile, this is exactly what you're after.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Loads of vanilla, softly toasted sugar and cask char to enjoy here, plus a touch of cherry.

Palate: Brown sugar, rum-soaked raisin, caramelised walnuts, spun sugar, Christmas spices and whiffs of smoke.

Finish: More winter spices mellowed by waves of vanilla.

Maker's Mark Cask Strength Reviews

Excellent expression

Batch 20-04, 54.5% ABV
Notes of brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, tobacco, soft for the proof.
Taste of oak, spice, cinnamon, brown sugar, vanilla, tobacco.
Finish is long, with tobacco, oak and cinnamon. Surprisingly light mouthfeel.
Will definitely keep exploring the cask strength bottlings.
