Macleods Highland 8 Bottling Note

An undemanding 8 year old single malt from an unnamed Highland distillery, this was bottled by Ian Macleod.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is quite light and smooth. There is a vague spirity note with toffee, barley, a touch of peat smoke and a little oak. The palate is of medium-body. There are some honey notes, perhaps a little vanilla. The peat smoke is light and wistful with a little sweetness. The finish is dry and of medium-length.

Raw wood aroma, similar to Glen Turret (and Famous Grouse!) lots of vanilla spice. Such a smooth flavour, sweet and warming, delicious!
