Mackmyra Mack Bottling Note

A crowd-pleasing Swedish single malt from Mackmyra aimed at younger whisky drinkers (of legal drinking age in their country of residence). More than suitable for enjoying in a cocktail or for sipping over ice, MACK packs notes of pear, vanilla and Christmas spices.

Worth a try
If you are looking for something a little different on your whiskey journey then give then give this a try. The initial taste is very sweet vanilla , this develops extremely quickly turning to sour black cherry and then an extremely dry bitter finish. I could detect a very small amount of smoke on the very end of the finish but I expect this is because the casks may have been charred.

It’s an interesting whiskey for those who are already on their whiskey journey and are willing to try something different. It gives a perspective that scotch doesn’t

Great tasting malt. Possibly an under dog winner
Bought this for my dad. We are of Swedish heritage so trying not to be biased lol. We are both avid single malt drinkers and talk about our enjoyment of whiskey. We know what we like but have differences. This Whiskey for the price we both agree is outstanding. Smooth taste and a nice warm spice after glow no harshness. Quite delicate to the first taste then vanilla, not to dry or woody. Could drink every day. An absolute winner.
