Swedish single malt whisky from the excellent Mackmyra distillery! Solsken comes from their Moments series, and features a portion of whisky which has been matures in Sherry casks.
Nose: Fresh, creamy vanilla, with a lingering hint of black pepper and almonds.
Palate: The nutty note from the nose develops into oily walnuts and peanut brittle, joined by a juicy hint of Sherry.
Finish: Orange, pear and a hint of grassy malt.

An ever reliable offering from this distillery and another moment worth discovering. A beautifully poised and well balanced Sherry cask finish full of juicy orchard fruits, nut brittle, praline, orange fondant and honey glazed crumble mix. Great body and mouthfeel and a long apricot frangipane tart of a finish.
