Nose: Wedding cake, oak, red grapes on the stalk, suede and resin give way to juicier raisins, a touch of anise and toffee crumble. Caramelised apples and caramel develop.
Palate: Apples cooking slowly with moist, molasses-rich muscovado sugar.
Finish: Initially drying walnut before lingering leather and espresso.
Overall: Unmistakably Macallan, exhibiting the Speysider's tremendous sherry character and rich apple notes.
