Macallan 30 Year Old TBWC Bottling Note

30 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Macallan distillery, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. An incredibly well-Sherried Macallan to say the least. Those curiously small stills continue to be observed by some very watchful eyes. Always watching. Always.

Batch 7 is a release of 272 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Victoria sponge cake and rich Christmas pudding too with hints of mint and gorgeous gypsy tart (evaporated milk and muscovado sugar) complexity.

Palate: Tremendous rich oak and dark chocolate with balancing sugars and hints of ginger.

Finish: Toasted gingerbread mixed nuts and echoes of dark fruit.

What's an excellent sherry monster. It’s more balance was achieved. AMAZING!!

WOW

This was a big surprise. I have tried a few of the other batches and this one blows them all away. Incredible macallan with dark fruits, rich brown sugar, espresso and perfect oak play. This is better than the OB 25 and 30 sherry oak.

Stunning Whisky

This is really an amazing Whisky. Just stunning. Nice dark color. At the beginning i thought when MoM took the picture of the bottle the messed up the lighting but NO they DID NOT.

I'm still trapped inside

All I had to do was look at this, and I was way over the event horizon. Sucked into the bottle, never to return. A crying shame, but at least I'm somewhere I like.

Probably the best Macallan ever to be released!

Probably the best Macallan ever to be released! Batch 5, 25 year old was unbelievable but this can only be described as spectacular!! No wonder one was sold at auction recently for over £900.00, shame they were unaware MOM still had a few in stock!!

An incredible dram

Before even the amazing nose and palate kick in, just looking at this stuff is a real treat. One of the darkest whiskies I've ever seen. And then the nose and palate - wow. Just phenomenal. Best Macallan I've ever tried.
