Macallan 25YO 1990 Bottling Note

25 year old Macallan single malt Scotch whisky - yum! This was distilled by Macallan in May 1990 and allowed to matured in a single refill hogshead for a quarter of a century, until January 2016. It was then bottled at 50.3% ABV by the folks at Hunter Laing for their Old & Rare Platinum range, with an outturn of 212 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Rich, creamy vanilla bean, marmalade and robust malt.

Palate: Red apples, dusted with cinnamon and clove. Exciting oak spices and a touch of boiled sweeties (the red ones, specifically).

Finish: Delicate oak continues on a backdrop of golden barley sweetness.
