Storm Malt Whisky Reviews

Expensive for what you get

If it cost £20 i would give it an extra star but for that amount of money you can get a Bowmore or Highland Park. Taste wise is a bit ordinary, i found it a little sweet and mellow. I didnt find any sea salt or pepper and definitely no pebbles in the bottle.

Fine one with no hang over at all

Just too good.

Nicer if someone else paid for it!

I enjoyed several glasses of this last night, with some friends. It is an uncomplicated dry and tannic’ easy drinking whisky All of which are qualities I like. I confess that I am unable to discern the ‘honeyed nuts’ mentioned in the tasting notes above and certainly not the ‘pebbles’!
The problem, in my opinion, is that the same qualities can be found in a bottle of Grants Triple Wood, which is a third of the price.
I shall be quite happy do drink this again, so long as I do not have to pay for it!
Perhaps if the manufacturers ditch the silly, wasteful and unnecessary extra packaging (I know they are all doing it because the marketing people tell them to) it might help to reduce the price.
Decent whisky. Had it been less expensive I would have given it more stars.

Tainted Love

The nose on this is off key and reminds me of badly 'corked' wine. This detracts from an otherwise satisfying dram, which like many, improves as the spirit oxidizes and opens up.

Good stuff

Great smooth caramel flavour, much like Monkey Shoulder.
