Inchmurrin as the name of a style of single malt distilled at Loch Lomond distillery, alongside the single malt that carries the distillery's own name. Rebranded under new ownership in 2015, the new packaging makes this link much clearer. The rebranding also saw this new release join the range, finished in ex-Madeira wine casks.
Nose: Some juicy malt and stone fruit, lime peel and crushed almond.
Palate: Rounded nutty toffee, sweet wood spice, a hint of pot pourri and citrus.
Finish: Oak and dry barley.
Overall: A nutty, fragrant malt from the Western Highlands.

Peaty, sweet and smokey nose, fruity smooth palate with a long warm finish. Everything you could possibly want from a Scotch. Slightly firey to begin with but settled nicely as I sipped some more. MK

Lots of fruits on nose .. fruity, peppery and whisp of smoke too. a splash of water improves this for me, and makes it even more complex.. longish finish on this even with the 02a slow sipper and very nice too.struth
