Another delicious indie bottling from The Single Cask - this time, the bottler has got its hands on heavily peated single malt from the Loch Lomond distillery, released under the Croftengea name. It was allowed to mature for 11 years in a hogshead cask, from March 2007 to May 2017, before being bottled with an outturn of 315 bottles.
Nose: Oak-y smoke, banana, melon, honey and slowly developing notes of ash.
Palate: Peat is grassy and slightly peppery. Plenty of oily malt notes and some burnt sugar in the background.
Finish: Very slightly coastal. Still sweet with toffee and exotic fruit.
