The entry level bottling for the Loch Lomond distillery, which by the way has no association with the still of the same name.
The nose is quite light with notes of leather and wood shavings and musty old attic with some cereal notes and a creaminess. The palate is quite full with notes of stemmy hay and musty cellar, hints of toasted granary bread with cereal notes, barley sweetness and a biscuity quality. The finish is quite long and full of cereal notes.

Great aquired taste

This is a really nice single malt, IV had a few whiskeys and this loch Lomond beats them all hands down and couldn't believe it when I tasted it, it has a lovely mellow taste and a sweetness to it, excellent.

Very nice and very tasty

The bottle is far superior to the taste. It is harsh, burns and I have decided to use it for cleaning my oven. Out of ten, '0'. Should not be described as a malt whiskey.

Hands down the worst single malt I ever purchased. Rough spirit, vile mold taste, would not even use this one as a mixer.

As mentioned above the nose is quite light. Notes of honey and heavy cream. As if you were smelling a scone. The taste is similar. Some Scone with heavy cream and lots of honey. After swallowing the taste of scones and honey stay mixing with lovely cereal notes. (pure)Add a drop of water (just as you're supposed to) and you have a much stronger taste of hay included. This whiskey is really mild and friendly to the drinker. People who might not have been drinking whiskey for too long and want an entry, this is it.I don't think it's the best I've had, by far, but it has potential and it is in no way a bad tasting whiskey.I personally love how mild it is. It's a simple and good companion for a cosy eve in front of the tv.Since I cannot drink coffee I can't try but I believe this one even would be nice for an Irish-Coffee.

Otimo. 6 garrafas compradas na Alemanha em abril. So resta 1...nao achei para comprar no free shop do Brasil nem no meu fornecedor em Belo Horizonte Casa Rio Verde.

The very best in my opinion
26th June 2015
notes of honey and fruits. Smoothie.

This has the makings of an above-average whisky, but unfortunately falls way short in my opinion. From a neat pour, the tasting notes from the chaps at Master of Malt are spot on (and generous). The distinctive attic mustiness on the nose carries all the way thru to the aftertaste. It is frustratingly one-noted in its cereal qualities, with zero depth and interest, accompanied by a slight dusty bitterness that has no opposing notes to balance it all out. What a shame...

Great bang for the buck. Tried it neat/with coffee/cola, doesn't compare with the famous brands. Serve it at a party full of sassenchs and you will be gold!

Really nice single malt enjoy
25th October 2014
A friend got me a bottle of this. I really enjoyed it. Very drinkable and I enjoyed the profile.

Really enjoyed this
Rommel, niet kopen!! Het slechtste ooit gedronken!!!
24th March 2014
The absolutely best singel malt for that amount of money. I've had a lot of expensive labals that have made me disappointed but the Loch Lomond have never put me down.
12th March 2014
Can't believe how poor this bottle is. Bought it on a recent visit to Loch Lomond ( on the spur of the moment ) which is less than 30 mins from my home. It's so rough on the palate that I require ice and water to adjust it to my taste, not good! Ed, whisky is all about preference , I am glad that you are enjoying yours, just not for me mate,

Bought a bottle of 18yr in Germany and have been looking at some of the other reviews. I am not sure if they are drinking the same Whisky. I absolutely love mine and will try to get a couple more bottles in Canada. The Whiskey was just the way they described it on the can. A touch of peach with honey overtones and very smooth. My new favorite.

It wasn't at all bad. It lasts a long time on the tounge, but the overall flavour wasn't anything new. For the price, I'd prefer a Glenfiddich or other widely available scotches, but if you want to try something a little different it's decent.

I bought this at Lock Lomond....what a mistake that was....should have bought the chocolate or maybe $35 in keychains... Nice looking bottle and container...that is the best I can say about it.....
22nd August 2013
Distillery resembles a factory in North Korea!
3rd May 2013
Poor quality and every bottle is different....Hangover in a bottle
Does not taste terrible, does not taste perfect. For that money you can get a decent Bourbon, or a bit more and you have Jameson crested ten. Or or or.

you need to be desperate!
6th August 2012
Smells of hob nobs, taste is without massive substance but still very drinkable, and worth the modest price.
