The nose is quite light with notes of leather and wood shavings and musty old attic with some cereal notes and a creaminess. The palate is quite full with notes of stemmy hay and musty cellar, hints of toasted granary bread with cereal notes, barley sweetness and a biscuity quality. The finish is quite long and full of cereal notes.

This has the makings of an above-average whisky, but unfortunately falls way short in my opinion. From a neat pour, the tasting notes from the chaps at Master of Malt are spot on (and generous).
The distinctive attic mustiness on the nose carries all the way thru to the aftertaste. It is frustratingly one-noted in its cereal qualities, with zero depth and interest, accompanied by a slight dusty bitterness that has no opposing notes to balance it all out. What a shame...

Great bang for the buck. Tried it neat/with coffee/cola, doesn't compare with the famous brands. Serve it at a party full of sassenchs and you will be gold!

A friend got me a bottle of this. I really enjoyed it. Very drinkable and I enjoyed the profile.
