The nose is quite rich and of medium-body. There are notes of cocoa and chewy sultanas and sherried peels. Cut hay and grass, apple blossom, malmsey and winter spice. The palate is of medium-body and quite spicy. There are toasted oak notes with vanilla spice and black pepper. The sherried peels are back with aplomb, notes of cut herbs and caramelised plums. The finish is long and fruited with a dry oak.
